Surface will have a new Surface Dock and Power Cover, things that will enable new features and greater autonomy of the device.

Things are getting hot at mobile devices market, so, Microsoft has their new "weapons", which will help them survive this battle with no mercy.

Microsoft is getting ready for launching the new edition of their “Surface”, and, almost every day there are new rumors. Surface Pro 2 should be almost identical to the older model, if we look only the appearance. When we are looking inside the device, there will be a new processor of Haswell generation that will enable seven hours of autonomy. The stand on the front side will be possible to set in two positions.

Also, Microsoft was very interested in improving productivity of their devices and so, they gave their best to develop some features that will enable that. They are preparing a Surface Dock that will enable users to use three USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0, one Ethernet and DisplayPort. Dock will be compatible with old Surface Pro and with new model, but not with tablets based on ARM chip, old Surface RT and the new one that will be named Surface 2.

Another addition for this tablet will be Power Cover. That is a keyboard with additional battery that will provide your tablet a lot longer autonomy time. This thing will be compatible with both new editions of tablets and with Surface Pro, but not with Surface RT. The battery in keyboard will be recharging while tablet is turned in electricity source. The Power Cover will be available by the end of this year.
