Maybe you think that blogging is becoming old fashioned and outdated?

It could seem a little old school for today’s online marketing. With all the technology, with video and rising of influencer marketing, to sit and write a blog with thousand words or more may seems inefficient. Spending the time for writing, to marketing your business, is seems to be a wasting of it.

No matter some reports that it's becoming outdated, blogging is still in a top form. Therefore, I give you some reasons why you should still be blogging.

Best way to have organic traffic

YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world. Everybody knows that Google is number one.

You maybe don’t know that they rank posts by the quality of backlinks at the page and the quality of the content.

When you search on Google, you type keywords and Google gives you most suitable content for your search. Mostly you will come across Wikipedia and this is the reason: They have a bulk of articles and rank for a lot of long tail keywords.

If we pay attention to the first search page on Google there are mostly posts with about 2,000 – 2,500 words. On Wikipedia, just a single profile of some person can have from 10,000 to 20,000 words.

The same thing can go for your blog. So write your blog with 2000+ words using SEO, promote it to the right audience and your traffic will start to rise.

It creates autonomy

You should not drop social media marketing, to pursue blogging full time. The best option is to do them both. By having your own blog and domain gives you the autonomy to manage the blog by your wish. It is not necessary to depend on the mercy of Facebook changing their algorithm every time they do it.

Via blog its not needed to pump money in ads to get traction. With your own hosting, domain and blog control is in your hands.

It establish reliability

In comparison with most image and text, heavy platforms blogging is one of the easiest ways to create reliability.

Like a digital journal, your blog also can be seen as a diary, and that other platforms can’t replicate that well.

It makes more potential clients and develops your brand

If you have amazing content for your blog you can use benefits of the organic traffic. You should get people linking back to you and with that, you will make a huge number of visitors to your site and with that will have more potential clients.

The writing style of blog, design, and tone have a part in creating awareness for your brand.

How you can see, you need a blog. It is not old school nor out of date. The blog is still tightly connected with new age online marketing methods. The blog is actually the base of Internet – images, and texts on a domain – and with basics, you can never make mistake.
