Apparently, people love interacting with emails that include image galleries, sliders, buttons, quizzes, search bars, and surveys. This trend will continue on in 2018.

AI is going to continue to be a huge trend in 2018. There might be some problems in understanding how AI emails actually work, but marketing managers will continue to experiment with these automated apps.

A growing number of apps are trying to help us to better use all the available data we have on a certain customer, and in that way evaluate personal approach to a customer. Email becomes specifically tailored for the needs of an individual, and that can create big advantage as opposed to the marketing that’s just sending the same email to everyone.

Building that personal connection with your subscribers could influence them emotionally when making the decisions.

So make sure you don’t skip automation in 2018.

Mobile

A research shows that around 54% of emails are now opened via mobile. It is clear as day that mobile devices have been rapidly taking over regular PCs and in accordance we should create emails to fit mobile. That leads us to well-known story of responsive design which is, by this point, a must-have.

And it won’t just be emails that marketers are formatting for mobile. Email subscription forms will start becoming more mobile friendly as well. Since most mobile visitors come to websites from an article vs. the homepage, we’ll start seeing more articles ending with email sign up forms to increase conversions.

Marketers are now realizing the importance of optimizing email marketing for mobile screens. In 2018, more email campaigns will focus on offering the best experience to mobile users. Whether it’s adding a sticky header to your mobile site that asks for emails or embedding sign up forms to each blog post - marketers will need to get creative when it comes to increasing email conversions on mobile.
