At work, it is necessary to perform activities conscientiously and honestly, but not too aggressively, with exaggerated care and unrealistic and exaggerated feeling of personal responsibility.
1. Avoid excessive work and overwork - practicing normal working hours (no more than 40 hours a week), resting over the weekend, not doing business activities at home.
2. Getting Assertive Communication Skills - Learning how to express to others what you want or do not want, in a way that is not aggressive or arrogant. Learning that through communication you can express your feelings, desires and attitudes as well as protect yourself from aggressive people. Learning how conflicts are constructively resolved, both in formal communication (at work) and in informal (in close-up with friends, etc.).
3. Physical activity - going to the gym, daily walks or running, biking, or some other sport that suits you. Physical activity increases your resistance to stress, leads to enhanced endorphins release and healthy fatigue.
4. Learning skills for achieving relaxation - learning breathing techniques, progressive muscle relaxation techniques, meditation, and so on.
5. Strengthening emotional literacy - learning to recognize and name emotional feelings and thoughts that induce them, learning to talk about feelings, desires and needs, learning the skills of managing feelings.
6. Learning adequate strategies for dealing with stress - reducing perfectionism, learning to deal with negative thoughts that persistently repeat, learning techniques to free up the accumulated negative emotional charge.
7. Strengthening self-awareness and self-evaluation - learning how to change your way of thinking and actively oppose negative thoughts, self-defeating attitudes, strengthen self-confidence and accept yourself. This requires some peace and quiet, so find a place in or out of your home that provides you with a sense of calm.
8. Strengthening social connections, social support and network of friends out of work - finding an adequate social circle in which a person feels accepted, finding people with whom quality and fulfilling (content) communication can be achieved.
9. Finding activities that fulfill a person and lead to satisfaction - finding hobbies, some activities that a person works solely for the purpose of enjoying and practicing such activities on a daily basis it one of the best ways to deal with stress. If open for it, your family members could be a part of it, too.
10. Strengthening family relationships - improving relationships with a spouse, children. Because in the end of the day, work is not the most important part of your life, no matter that it takes a lot of your time. You should always have energy and time to dedicate to the thing that matters the most – family. So find to time to go on a field trip or do some other activity that will strengthen the bond.
