Ever thought we accomplished everything we could in the technological development? That we could not go any further? Well guess what? We can!

The Internet developed from the academic network to a global network. From 0 and 1, to a lot more than that. Now it’s becaming the Internet of things.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a scenario in which objects, animals or people have this unique identifiers and the ability to automatically transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. IoT has evolved from the convergence of wireless technologies, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and the Internet.

A thing, in the Internet of Things, can be a person with a heart monitor implant, a farm animal with a biochip transponder, an automobile that has built-in sensors to alert the driver when tire pressure is low -- or any other natural or man-made object that can be assigned an IP address and provided with the ability to transfer data over a network.

IPv6 is also going to make a huge impact on the development of the Internet of Things.

The concept was named in the 1999, but it was known a long time before the name. For example on Carnegie Melon University there was a Coke machine that was controlled via Internet.

So the point is, everything up via Internet, wirewith or wireless. And it’s now our reality. In the future years it is going to develop more and more.

Privacy and all the other important questions about data are going to be a big temptation to the creators.

It’s going to be a huge amount of data on the Internet. We’ll be able to track activities we want and to make any kind of statistics. But not just that. We’ll be able to live faster, to make decisions easier, to have the right motivation. We’ll be able to explore more. To do more.

Isn’t that great?
