This is a kind of a mystery language. Or better to say a mystery book. And it's not from the middle age, it was created in the 70es. What's written there everyone guesses and nobody knows for sure.

In the world there is so many languages! Only in India there is 200 official languages. Imagine that!
Latin, Cyrillic, Greek alphabet, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese… How do we understand each other?
Did you ever think of how many different of them are there? Probably most of us didn’t think about it.
So many mystery languages, unknown letters… Here is one of them!

Codex Seraphinianus

No this one is not from the Middle Age. It’s actually from the 70es. Or at least then was published.
It’s an illustrated encyclopedia, or at least we can say that is that. It certainly has a lot of illustrations, and it also has a lot of text probably explaining what’s on the pictures.

It mixes organic, nonorganic, flora, fauna, humans, everything! Machines even.

But if you look at the pictures they are quite strange. The creatures or whatever is on them is pretty unknown to us.
The creator of this is Luigi Serafini an Italian artist, architect and industrial designer. It has about 300 pages depending on the edition.

The language and the letters are quite unintelligible. There is no known language that you can compare it to. Or if you can and you find such, you cannot say for sure what is written there.
There are some rumors about it, but nobody said officially that this Codex is solved already.

However and whatever was the idea, it’s pretty fascinating someone even done it. How this got in the mind of Serafini is also uninteligible.

How many of these books are there in the world?
