Bolton Strid, seemingly harmless creek, is a classic example of natural traps - a wolf in sheep's clothing, because below the water's surface it hides fast currents and depth that has not yet been measured. Whether you step into the stream in ignorance or intentionally, from Bolton Strid yet no one ever came out alive. The mortality rate in this stream is 100%!
Strid Bolton is actually only one part of the flow of harmless, about 6 meters deep river - Wharfe which runs through Yorkshire in England, but when it comes to the area of Bolton Abbey, it seems as if the river turns to the side, and its width is converted into depth. In this area the river Wharfe (where becomes known as the Bolton Strid and where many call it stream rather than a river) is wide up to 2 meters, which is why it looks like a classic stream, its current is much stronger, and depth ... is still unknown.
Although around the creek there are signs that warn of danger, from time to time there are cases such as when a couple went for a walk to it and disappeared. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/217851.stm It is relatively common for people to think that they can skip the stream, or cross it walking over rocks, because at first glance it really seems to be pretty shallow. But ... unfortunately, it takes only one mistake to fall into the water and lose your lives.
In most cases, the bodies of those who fell into the stream were never found and it is assumed that there are dozens of these...
Do you believe that this is only nature's work and that supernatural has nothing to do with this? I'm not so sure...
