Google, Yahoo, Microsoft… Where are women over there?
In 1984 37 percent of graduates in computer science were women. Today it’s about 12 percent.
Why is this a man profession? Where are all the women? Why do women not participate in this profession?
Is it the interest of the women? Maybe women simply are not that interested in this. Maybe they simply don’t take these studies.
Is it really like that? That’s what they tried to make us believe for every profession until now and it all ended up with the conclusion that that is not true.
Maybe it’s just a lack of interest. Even though we live in the 21st century, girls are not that encouraged to do these professions.

Girls aren’t even stereotyped as programmers for example.When you think of a programmer what do you see? A typical programmer? It’s a guy with glasses and bad hair, and red eyes in the middle of a filthy room typing something on his laptop.
You see? Of course, stereotypes aren’t a reliable tool to estimate this. But, they are one of the things that travel among us the fastest.
Not even there.
Maybe it’s the culture? Maybe we still divide things on what can man and what can women do?
