Some researchers argue that without bees there would be no people either. Learn why this is so.

Although for some people, bees are just annoying insects buzzing around their heads, they have one of the most important roles on the planet. Moreover, if there were no bees, there would be no people.

Bees are directly accounted for most of the food we consume every day. These insects perform a task that is vital to agriculture - pollination. In fact, one third of the world's food supplies are pollinated by bees.

To put it simply, the bees maintain plants and crops in life. Without them, people would not have much choice on the menu.

Here are just a few examples of foods for whose widespread are honeybees responsible: almonds, apples, apricots, avocados, blueberries, cashews, coffee, cranberries, cucumbers, eggplant, grapes, kiwi, mango, walnuts, peaches, pears, peppers, strawberries, tangerines, watermelons, etc.

Constant decrease in the number of bees in the world is becoming one of the major problems that must be addressed. For example, what is alarming is the fact that in the USA the number of colonies was reduced by as much as 23.2 percent, and it happened only last winter. In the United States, the bees make economic profit in the amount of 15 billion dollars a year, what is the annual income from the production of vegetables..

Since the WWII, the bees are dying en masse, and the reason for that is largely increased use of pesticides, especially neonicotinoids, which have a fatal effect on bees.
