Small businesses need great websites!

Leading a successful small business without a great online presence is becoming harder to do every year. It is becoming essential to provide customers with in-detail information about the products and services you offer in order for them to come and visit you.

Yes, we can discuss the laziness of the world, or we can discuss about the things that you have to have on your website.

Responsive Website

If you are not making you website to fit mobile use, don’t even try! As an increasing number of people use mobile phones, adapting to this purpose will not only give you good results in the search but will also increase the satisfaction of your visitors (customers) and ultimately lead to more sales.

Why You Should Optimize Site for Mobile Search?

Is You Site Optimized for Mobile Devices?

Speed

Do you often go to that website that needs 10-20 seconds to load? No? Exactly! You need a fast website if you want people to come and see what you’ve got!

According to surveys done by Akamai and Gomez.com, nearly half of web users expect a site to load in 2 seconds or less, and they tend to abandon a site that isn’t loaded within 3 seconds. 79% of web shoppers who have trouble with web site performance say they won’t return to the site to buy again and around 44% of them would tell a friend if they had a poor experience shopping online.

Call to Action

If you don’t want you customers do to something on your website, why go through the trouble of making it? A call-to-action (CTA) can be in a form of a text or a picture and it tells visitors what you would like them to do.
Most of the time a call-to-action is an invite for potential customers to register on your website, which means they will share more information with you that you can later use. In case of registration, you can send them emails informing them about discounts or new products and services you offer.

Call-to-action has evolved beyond emails, so it can be far more specific (and often it should be) and actually help both you and visitor to solve their problem better and faster.

Video

It doesn’t have to be on the top of your website, but it should be somewhere on the homepage.
Your job is to explain who you are, what you do and why you are different and better than the rest in your niche. Video is great because it is visual, informative and (should be) short. People don’t have to go through the trouble of reading ‘About Us’ if your video is good. Do people even read anymore?

What You Must Know About Video Marketing

Reviews/Testimonials

You should always have a feature that allows people to see you are real deal. Make sure that happy customers write reviews in your favor so that all the future customers can see that you are worth their time and money.

These accolades should be easy to see and find and will surely influence your business in a positive manner.

Content

A great, originally written content can bring a lot to your small business. If you claim to be the expert you are, make sure you back that up with some well-written content that visitors can easily spot and understand.
