The United States government extended all guidelines on Sunday asking people to stay at home and to respect social distancing guidelines. The experts estimated that 2.2 million people could die in the United States alone if people don’t follow all measures to contain the disease pandemic.

President Donald Trump said earlier that he hopes the whole country will get back to work until mid-April but it is clear now that this will not happen with the United States becoming the country with the most infections on the planet.

The peak, most fatalities are expected in about two weeks, therefore, the government will extend their guidelines to April 30 in an effort to slow down the spread, President Trump stated during a press conference at the White House. He also stated that by June 1 the country will be on its way to recovery.

Since March 16, the United States government gave their 15-day guidance with the goal to stop the spreading of the virus, telling people to work from home and calling the school and university professors to teach from home, and to avoid any gathering of more than 10 people.

Many states across the USA have taken tougher measures by making stay-at-home orders mandatory. By Monday, it is expected that 27 of the nation's 50 states will implement such orders in effect, affecting approximately 225 million people, or about two-thirds of the United States population.

The number of infections in America is increasing rapidly day by day from earlier this month, the United States now has 144,103 cases, 2,580 deaths and 4,865 people recovered so far.
